This is a simple dish that can be cooked in less than 30 minutes. The chicken slices are dipped in a spiced batter and then stir-fried, you can add in any vegetables you like, the dish has very delicious gravy and can serve with rice or noodle.
-1 cup of rice, cooked and cooled
-2 tablespoons of sesame seeds, toasted
-1 tablespoon of soy sauce
-1/2 tablespoon of sugar
-1 tablespoon of salt
-chili powder (according to your preference)
This is a very easy recipe that you can make at home. All you need to do is to follow these simple steps:
- Preheat the oil in the pan, or you can use oven and heat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit
- Cut chicken breast or chicken leg meat into thin slices and season with the spice mixture of soy sauce, sugar, salt, paprika, chili powder
- Stir-fry the chicken slices in the pan or wok or large skillet over high heat, add sliced ginger, garlic, green onion, slight soy sauce, salt, chili, and sugar; cook until slightly caramelized - Add the cooked rice to the wok or skillet and stir well until all the ingredients are mixed all together.
Lastly, add in the sliced green onion and chili pepper for extra flavor. Now it is time to add in rice and pour over with sauce from the pan. Finally, sprinkle some sesame seeds on top of the dish before serving.
Small tip: there are a couple of more things you can add to this dish if you want the flavor to release out even more. They are Thai red curry paste, coconut milk, and cilantro leaves.
So if you want to add those ingredients, you can do the following: add in the chopped garlic, ginger, and Thai red curry paste. Stir and cook for a few minutes until fragrant. Add in coconut milk and water to cover the chicken. Cook over medium heat for 10-15 minutes or until the sauce thickens a little bit.
Finally, put in some cilantro leaves before serving with rice or noodles of your choice.
