The raw materials made by my mother are more straightforward, only garlic and chili, and some tempeh. On the other hand, I added cumin powder and used Liupo's chili powders, and it turns out to be so delicious to chew on!
But this time I did it to realize how hard my mother worked. I told the partner that you can buy tofu if you want to eat it, so we went ahead and bout two-pound extra firm tofu.
It took me almost one hour to fry the tofu but it was all worth it. If you want a quicker way you can use the air fryer. Two pounds is actually a lot, I was tired from standing. It hurts a bit to think that my mother has done it so many times before. So if you want to do it, don't do too much at one time, it's tiring. But my teammates and I both love to eat too much, and if we do less, we have to grab it.
One to two pieces of extra firm tofu (ordinary square box, one packet I used in the picture is enough)
Minced garlic, chili powders, white sesame seeds, cumin powder, and salt to taste
dark soy sauce, light soy sauce
The seasoning can be according to your own taste, if you have pepper powder, you can also add it, it tastes spicy and spicy.
How to cook this
1️. Cut the tofu into 2 to 3 mm pieces, and fry until golden on both sides, if you like it chewy, you can fry it for a while, but not too long, it will be too hard
2️. Pour oil into the pot, fry minced garlic until fragrant, then add all seasonings and stir fry
3️. Pour in the fried tofu, add some soy sauce and soy sauce, stir fry evenly
4️. If you feel it is too dry, you can add a little water, simmer for a while, taste a slice, and add salt or other seasonings according to your taste
