I made Earl Gray Orange Pound Cake last two weeks and ate it before I could take a photo
The cake is dense and delicate.
Melt in your mouth chocolate ganache.
One cake, two flavors. So satisfying! 😋
Fat is fat, delicious is really delicious. If you are a chocolate lover, you must try it.
Start by making the chocolate ganache filling:
Pour 60g of dark chocolate➕60g of light cream➕15g of sugar together into a pot and heat to melt the chocolate.
Stir well and pour into a mold covered with plastic wrap and refrigerate to shape.
Pound Cake:
Butter 100g
Egg 100g
50g powdered sugar
Cocoa powder 15g
Low gluten flour 100g
Baking powder 1g
1. Beat the butter softened at room temperature with an egg beater until smooth, add powdered sugar in two additions and beat until fluffy, then add egg liquid at room temperature in three additions, beat until the volume becomes larger
2. Mix the low-gluten flour, cocoa powder, and baking powder evenly, sift into the butter batter, and mix until the batter is shiny without any dry powder
3. Pour half of the batter into the mold, put in the shaped ganache sandwich, then pour in the rest of the batter, bake at 340F for 45-50 minutes
After baking, brush some sugar water while it is hot to keep the cake body moist. I brushed the orange juice directly, put it in a fresh-keeping bag when it was warm, and it tasted better the next day.
