We northerners eat glutinous rice balls, and I have never distinguished between glutinous rice balls and Yuanxiao!

Today I will teach you a super fast method of wrapping glutinous rice balls that I learned from my mother!

The ingredients are super simple, glutinous rice flour, sesame paste, and water

❄️Makes 16 glutinous rice balls

Preparation materials:

125 grams of glutinous rice flour, 100 grams of warm water, 2 small bags of black sesame paste (I use the original flavor)

For the filling, I recommend using Black Sesame Powder 10.6oz

Method:

✨Add warm water to the glutinous rice flour little by little, stir evenly with chopsticks until only a layer of dry powder remains, knead it into a ball with your hands, and finally knead the dough into a non-sticky state like Play Dough is enough!

✨The dough is divided into 16 parts, if you want to be accurate you can weigh 14 grams each!

✨Add a small amount of warm water to the sesame paste and knead it into a dough. Divide it into 16 portions and knead them into small balls, about 6 grams per portion!

✨Press the dough into a bowl shape, wrap the black sesame lake balls in it, and knead it into a circle. If the dough cracks, add water and continue kneading and it will be round!

The last thing is to boil water and cook glutinous rice balls! It's good when the glutinous rice balls float up! Isn't it so simple! Try it if you are interested!
